Nooded ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Nooded mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Nooded.

Our Core Principles

• No ads, ever. Nooded will never display advertisements or allow advertisers to target you.
• No data selling. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
• Minimal collection. We only collect what's necessary to provide the service.
• Your email is yours. We access your email only to power AI features you explicitly enable.
• Transparency. We tell you exactly what we collect and why.

📋 What Data We Collect

Information You Provide

Information Collected Automatically

• App version and operating system for crash reporting
• Anonymous usage patterns to improve the app (no personal identifiers)
• Device type (iPhone/Android) for compatibility

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Payment card numbers or banking information (handled entirely by Apple/Google)
• Precise location tracking or movement history
• Contacts, call logs, or SMS/phone messages
• Biometric data
• Social media profiles or third-party app data

📧 Email Data & AI Features

Google OAuth & Gmail Access

When you sign in with Google, Nooded requests access to read your Gmail messages. This access is used solely to:

• Display your emails in organized tabs (Inbox, Focus, Finance, Travel, Family, Health, etc.)
• Generate AI-powered summaries and digests when you enable the AI feature
• Categorize emails into appropriate tabs
• Allow you to search, reply to, and manage your emails

How AI Summaries Work

When you enable AI summaries, Nooded sends a limited set of email metadata (sender, subject line, and preview text) to our AI processing service to generate summaries. We do not send full email bodies unless you explicitly open a specific email.

AI Features Are Opt-In

During setup, you choose whether to enable AI summaries. You can change this at any time in Settings. When AI is disabled, Nooded functions as a standard email client — no data is sent to AI services.

Google API Scopes

Nooded's use of Google APIs is limited to displaying and managing your Gmail. We comply with Google's Limited Use Policy — your Google data is not used for serving ads, for credit or financial products, for selling or transferring to third parties, or for determining creditworthiness.

🍔🚕 Marketplace (Food & Rides)

Nooded's Food and Ride features connect customers with local restaurants and drivers. Your location is used only in real-time to show nearby options and is never stored or logged.

Food Orders

When you browse local restaurants or place an order through Nooded, we do not process payments or store payment information. Any ordering is handled directly by the restaurant's own ordering system or by phone.

Ride Requests

When you request a ride, your pickup address and destination are shared with available drivers. Once your ride is complete, this information is not retained by Nooded.

Application Documents

During driver signup, you submit personal documents including:

• Profile photo / selfie
• Driver's license photo
• Vehicle registration and insurance documents
• CT Taxi License (for taxi drivers)
• Vehicle photo

These documents are stored securely on our servers and reviewed by our team to verify your eligibility. They are not shared with third parties except as required by law.

AI Document Review

Submitted applications may be reviewed by an AI system to assess completeness and flag potential issues. All AI assessments are reviewed by a human administrator before any decision is made.

Driver Status

Your approval status, role (delivery/taxi), and active/inactive status are stored to manage your account. This information is visible only to Nooded administrators and is not shared publicly.

🏪 Restaurant Information

Restaurant information submitted during signup including business name, address, phone, hours, cuisine type, and menu details is displayed publicly within the Nooded app to help customers find and contact you.

What's Public

• Restaurant name, address, phone number
• Cuisine type, hours of operation
• Menu information and ordering options
• Pickup/delivery availability

What's Private

• Owner's personal email address (used for account communication only)
• Application documents and business verification materials
• Internal admin notes and review history

📌 Bulletin Board Disclaimer

What Nooded Is

• A technology platform connecting local businesses and service providers with customers
• A bulletin board where listings are posted and viewed
• A communication tool to facilitate contact between parties

What Nooded Is Not

• Not an employer. Drivers and restaurant owners are independent contractors or businesses, not Nooded employees.
• Not a payment processor. All financial transactions occur directly between users.
• Not a delivery company. Delivery drivers are independent contractors who set their own terms.
• Not a transportation company. Taxi drivers are licensed independent operators.
• Not a food service. Restaurants are independent businesses responsible for their own food safety and quality.

Liability Disclaimer

Nooded is not responsible for:

• The quality, safety, or legality of goods or services offered by drivers or restaurants
• The accuracy of listings posted by drivers or restaurants
• Any disputes, damages, or losses arising from transactions between users
• The conduct of drivers, restaurants, or customers using the platform
• Food safety, allergens, or dietary requirements
• Vehicle safety, accidents, or incidents during rides or deliveries

Users engage with each other at their own risk. We strongly encourage all users to exercise reasonable judgment and take appropriate precautions in all interactions facilitated through Nooded.

🏆 Founder Program

The Nooded Founder Program rewards the first 100 members of each role (Delivery Driver, Taxi Driver, Restaurant) who join the platform.

Eligibility & Terms

• Open to the first 100 approved members in each role category
• Founder status is confirmed at the time of application approval
• Membership must remain active and in good standing

Bonus Payment

• Restaurant Owners & Taxi Drivers: $250 USD
• Delivery Drivers: $100 USD
• Bonus is paid if Nooded reaches $100,000 in total revenue from Apple/Google subscriptions within 12 months of the app's public launch date
• Payment will be made within 60 days of the milestone being reached
• Nooded will contact founders using the email and phone provided at signup

Disqualification

Founder status may be revoked if a member violates these Terms of Service, is found to have submitted fraudulent documents, or has their account terminated for cause.

👶 Children's Privacy

Nooded is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete that information.

Driver and restaurant signups require participants to be 18 or older and hold valid licenses and insurance as required by law.

📄 Terms of Service

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Nooded, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use Nooded for any unlawful purpose
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
• Use the platform to facilitate illegal transactions
• Post misleading listings or fake reviews

Driver Requirements

All drivers using Nooded must:

• Hold a valid driver's license for their state
• Maintain current vehicle insurance that covers commercial or rideshare use
• Taxi drivers must hold a valid Connecticut Taxi License
• Keep all documents current and notify Nooded of any changes
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Restaurant Requirements

All restaurants listed on Nooded must:

• Be a legitimate, licensed food service business
• Hold all required food service permits and health certifications
• Accurately represent their menu, hours, and services
• Comply with all applicable food safety laws and regulations

Memberships & Billing

Nooded memberships are billed monthly through Apple App Store or Google Play:

• Restaurant: $149/month
• Taxi Driver: $149/month
• Delivery Driver: $19.99/month

All billing is managed by Apple or Google. Nooded does not store payment information. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel anytime through your App Store or Google Play account settings.

Termination

Nooded reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Nooded is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nooded shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of Nooded after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
